What's the difference between Level One and Level Two? Not much. Take a look at the daily workouts in this blog. You will see that both Level One and Level Two follow the same CrossFit of Fremont programming structure: a strength workout coupled with a conditioning workout.
For the longest time, when joining CrossFit of Fremont, everyone took part in five introductory classes. After finishing the introductory classes, you jumped right into our CrossFit program. When the classes started getting larger, we found that the coach was spending the majority of the time working with all the newer people. The people who had been CrossFitting for awhile were not getting the coaching they needed.
The intention of Level One is to get you to learn how to do the movements we do on a day to day basis AND how to scale those movements to best accommodate your fitness level. The intention is that once you learn to scale all the workouts for yourself, you are ready to move up to Level Two. In Level Two, the coach gets to spend less time explaining and more time coaching.
How long will you stay in Level One? There is no set time. Some people have prior athletic experience. They move well right away and figure out their own abilities quickly. Some people are new to working out and the path to Level Two is a little longer. For the most part, anyone who follows the Level One program consistently is capable of moving to Level Two in a few months.
